    INSPIRATION FOR THE DESIGN

The hornet 220 evolved out of a desire to get rid of a lot of useless empty space that I saw in my friends and personal frames. This wasted space lead to frames that were unnecessarily large and therefore had more drag and overall just spoiled their potential performance. After trying many ideas through 3D modeling software I settled on a design that had a compact electronics stack mounted right behind the FPV camera. The electronics stack was also not compromised to make it smaller, it is composed of a PDB/OSD, full size flight controller, receiver and FPV transmitter. The design resulted in a main body that was half the length of many race quads. Four prototypes later with slight design alterations I ended up with the frame that I now call the Hornet 220. Follow the design on the RCgroups thread (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2723855)

    IMPORTANT

Armattan Productions does not carry the 30mm long M3 screws required to run both a PDB/OSD and a fligth controller in the same stack. The four 20mm M3 screws provided will work if you only have a flight controller in the stack. If you want the 30mm M3 screws you can find them in the following link (http://www.fastener-express.com/M3x.5x30mmButtonSocketCapAlloySteelQty.aspx)

    Yellow Jacket 130

    $ 34.76

    OVERVIEW

The Yellow Jacket 130 is a uncompromising 3" quad. Unlike other 3" quads, the Yellow Jacket does not compromised on video quality letting you run a full size fpv vtx and a full HS1177 sized fpv camera. The frame utilizes the small 20mm mounting pattern of the Piko BLX flight controller. Couple that with the ESC and FPV stack from Furious FPV and you will have one clean and compact build. Alternatively use the FPV vtx of your choice and ESCs mounted on the arms for ultimate customization running the parts you want without problem. Join the discussion and find out more about the frame on the RCgroups thread for the Yellow Jacket (https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?2845358-Yellow-Jacket-130-HS1177-Compatible-3-Drone#post37015818)

    FEATURES

    • Uncompromising 3" mini quad
    • Can run any 13xx or 14xx size motors with standard M2 12mm mounting pattern.
    • Wide camera angle options from 0-45 degrees.
    • Fits HS1177 style FPV cameras with lens size up to 2.1mm!
    • Super strong one piece main body.
    • 20mm Flight controller mounting pattern

    INSPIRATION FOR THE DESIGN

The Yellow Jacket 130 evolved out of a desire to have a 3" 130 sized copter that didn't compromise on the fpv camera. Many of the smaller fpv cameras do not have as good dynamic range or low light performance as a standard HS1177 camera. Thus the Yellow Jacket 130 was birthed taking design inspirations from is bigger brother (the Hornet 220 http://armattanproductions.com/pages/kit_detail/433?). After trying many ideas through 3D modeling software I settled on a design that was well proportioned and accommodated the full sized fpv equipment that I desired.

    • 4000kv 1306 or 1406 motors
    • 3x4.5x3 propellers

    Nyuki 100

    $ 27.28

    OVERVIEW

The Nyuki 100 is a micro fpv drone capable of using up to 2.5" propellers. The Nyuki is a pure X frame copter that is small, sleek and light. It is capable of fitting places most quads can not and being brushless makes it much lower maintenance than typical brushed micros.

    FEATURES

    • Brushless Power
    • True 90 degree X frame
    • Can run any 11xx size motors with standard 9mm mounting pattern.
    • Compact FPV backpack with cam angle between 15-20 degrees.
    • Integrated antenna protector
    • Super strong one piece main frame
    • Super small fly anywhere size
    • AUW (w/500mah 2s lipo): 94g

    INSPIRATION FOR THE DESIGN

The Nyuki 100 evolved out of a desire to have an indoor brushless copter. I was tired of changing out brushed motors over and over again and wanted something that was less maintenance and more powerful. I also wanted to use a CP antenna to have rejection of reflected signals, but I didn't want to keep squishing the exposed antenna. The result was a frame that had integrated circularly polarized antenna protection. After trying many ideas through 3D modeling software I settled on a design that was compact and used the standard FPV backpack made popular by the Tiny Whoop. Check out the RCGroups thread for more information and discussion about the frame. (https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?2792965-Nyuki-100-Brushless-Micro-Drone)

    FEATURES

    • Minimalist 5” quad with ultra low drag
    • True 90 degree X frame and central mass yields uniform flight characteristics on pitch and roll.
    • Can run any 22xx size motors with standard 16 by 19 mounting pattern.
    • Thin arms with verticaly mounted ESCs leading to low drag aerodynamic arm
    • Wide camera angle options from 0-45 degrees.
    • Fits HS1177 style FPV cameras
    • Built in 45 degree GoPro Session mount
    • Individual arms allow for easy replacement in the event of a broken arm
    • Optional arm braces. Run without arm braces for ultimate low drag racing performance or put the arms on for added strength while freestyling.
    • AUW (w/Turnigy 1300 65c 4s graphene): 480g
    • Weight of Carbon (without arm supports): 40g
    • Frame Weight (without arm supports): 56g
    • Frame Weight (with arm supports): 68g

    INSPIRATION FOR THE DESIGN

The Sting 180 originated out of a desire to push the size limits of a 5" copter as small as they could go. The result is a 5" copter that is the size of many 4" copters. The main reason for pushing the limis and making the copter as small as could be was to reduce weight and drag. The smaller frame requires less carbon and also presents less frontal area and therefore less drag. To keep the drag and the weight down the arms were also slimmed. Because the arms were so much shorter they didn't need to be as thick to be as strong. The next problem was what to do with the ESCs. Therefore I created a small brace that holds the ESCs vertically on the bottom of the arm allowing for a nice streamlined shape.
